Campus & Identity

Nestled on 40 scenic acres along the Connecticut River, 鶹 College & Seminary offers a peaceful setting for prayer, study, and community.

Since the Newman Guide’s founding in 2007, 鶹 has been recognized as a , earning national recognition for its unwavering fidelity to the Magisterium.

On-campus students enjoy a vibrant community life with intramural sports, shared meals, and service to the local community, while online students connect through livestreamed groups, virtual conferences, and opportunities for prayer and faith-sharing.

Whether on campus or online, students are invited to grow in holiness, deepen their understanding of the Faith, and live out the call to evangelization.

Spiritual Life

鶹 College and Seminary has daily Mass at Our Lady Queen of the Apostles Chapel. The Mass schedule can be found on the Chapel page, Our Lady Queen of the Apostles Chapel.

Students have opportunities to receive the Sacrament of Reconciliation (Confession) throughout the week.

Eucharistic Adoration and Benediction are offered weekly.

Students also have the option of participating in Mass and other spiritual activities, including perpetual adoration, at our nearby parish neighbor, St. John Church in Cromwell. The parish is staffed by Conventual Franciscan Friars.

Our Faculty

At 鶹 College and Seminary, our faculty are more than teachers.
They are nationally recognized speakers, published authors, theologians, ethicists, and experts who shape conversations in the Church and beyond.

Faithful and rooted in tradition.
Each faculty member brings scholarly excellence and pastoral wisdom into the classroom—always in fidelity to the Magisterium. Every year, they renew this commitment through a profession of faith and an oath of fidelity.

Forming both minds and hearts.
Their expertise enriches our programs and inspires students to think critically, engage faithfully, and lead with integrity.

Leaders who live the faith.
At 鶹, you learn from professors who don’t just teach Catholic truth—they live it, share it, and guide students in experiencing its transformative power.

Apostles for Christ

Apostles for Christ is a supportive space for prayer, reflection, and growth in faith—guided by the 鶹 Spirit and the Magisterium of the Catholic Church.

Our Mission:

  • Help students encounter the love and mercy of Jesus Christ
  • Encourage the discovery of each person’s unique calling
  • Inspire lives of purpose and meaning rooted in the Gospel

What We Do:

  • Meet biweekly for prayer with Sacred Scripture and the Divine Office
  • Create a vibrant, welcoming environment for authentic relationships
  • Foster spiritual growth and a commitment to living the Gospel

At Each Meeting:

  • Lift up fellow students and their intentions in prayer
  • Entrust these intentions to Our Lord’s Sacred Heart through the prayers of the Church
^

Life League

The student-run Life League, which coordinates pro-life activities, is quite active. Its activities include a prayer vigil on Saturday mornings at one of the abortion clinics in Hartford during the academic year, followed by the Mass of Mercy in the seminary chapel. A very large joint representation of the student body takes part in the March for Life in January.
